EvoWorld.io Mid and Late Game: Fliers, Swimmers and the Top of the Chain

The map splits
Around the middle evolutions the game divides into creatures that fly and creatures that swim. Both lines continue to the top, and both have to visit the other element to keep a bar full. A bird over open water is exposed; a fish near the surface is exposed. The shoreline is the dangerous place and the necessary place.
Speed versus size
Bigger creatures are slower. A dragon cannot catch a bird that sees it coming, so the top-level players hunt by ambush — waiting at the water where you have to come to drink. Approach water from the side that has the fewest large creatures, drink quickly, and leave in a different direction.
Feeding at the top
Late creatures eat lower creatures and the larger food sources on the map. Chasing a single small player rarely pays; the efficient hunters sit where mid-level players cluster and let the food come to them.
The leaderboard
The top of the leaderboard belongs to players who stopped taking fights. Once you are near the top, every fight is a risk with no reward. Eat food, avoid players, and let the score climb.
Dying well
When you are caught, dash toward water or cover, not away in a straight line. If you die anyway, you restart as a fly with the knowledge of where the predators sit — which is worth more than the score you lost.
