EvoWorld.io — Eat, Evolve, Survive — Live Multiplayer

Multiplayer .io

EvoWorld.io: the food chain, with you at the bottom

EvoWorld.io began life as FlyOrDie.io and the name change did not alter the idea: you spawn as a fly on a shared map, and everything on that map is either food, a threat or irrelevant, and the bar at the top of the screen tells you which. Eat enough and you evolve — into a bee, a bird, a bat, a dragon and dozens of stages beyond — and each evolution changes what you can eat and what can eat you. The other creatures are other players, which is why the same map never plays the same way twice.

The game runs on its developer’s servers and is embedded on this page, so pressing Play connects you to a live world. Your progress within a life is what you keep; die and you start again as a fly. There is nothing to install, and a round can be a minute or an hour depending on how careful you are.

Surviving the early levels

  1. Read the top bar before you move: It lists exactly what you can eat and what hunts you at your current level. Every death in the first minute comes from ignoring it.
  2. Water and oxygen are not optional: Both bars drain. Fliers dip to the water to drink; swimmers surface to breathe. Plan the trip before the bar is red.
  3. Evolve in a quiet corner: Levelling up changes your predators. The safe spot at one level is a hunting ground at the next; move before you evolve, not after.

Key Features

  • Dozens of evolutions: Insects, birds, bats, aquatic creatures, mythical beasts — each with its own food, predators and ability.
  • Live multiplayer: Every creature that is not food is another person, which makes the map unpredictable.
  • No download, no account: Pick a name, press Play; the game runs in the browser.
